This excursion from Istanbul is perfect for those who wish to explore the fascinating region of Cappadocia but have only one day. With flights included and a comprehensive itinerary, you will experience an unforgettable adventure combining lunar landscapes, history, and culture.

Day Itinerary

After pickup from your hotel at the specified time, we will transfer you to Istanbul Airport (International or Sabiha) to take one of the first flights to Cappadocia. The journey lasts approximately 90 minutes. Upon arrival, we will begin by visiting Derbent Valley, known for its curious rock formations and also called the imaginary valley.

We will continue to the Goreme Valley, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, where we will explore the Byzantine complex of rock-cut churches. Then, we will walk through the troglodyte village of Uçhisar and enjoy a typical local meal.

In the afternoon, we will head to Pasabagi Valley, famous for its fairy chimneys, the most iconic image of Cappadocia. Here, we will visit one of its underground cities (Özkonak or Kaymakli), built by Christian communities to defend against Arab attacks.

The day concludes with the return flight to Istanbul (at 19:45 or 21:50, depending on availability) and transfer back to your hotel.
