Excursion to Pamukkale and Hierapolis

Overview

This excursion takes you from Antalya to one of Turkey’s most fascinating places: Pamukkale, known as the ‘cotton castle’. You will combine a visit to its spectacular white terraces with exploring the ruins of the ancient spa city of Hierapolis, founded in 190 BC. It is a complete experience that will allow you to admire natural and archaeological wonders in a single day.

Detailed Itinerary

At the agreed time, we will pick you up from your hotel in Antalya. We will begin a journey of approximately three hours by minibus to Pamukkale. During the journey, we will make a stop at an onyx craft workshop, where you can appreciate the local work.

Upon arrival in Pamukkale, you will enjoy a lunch that includes a main course and a dessert. Afterwards, we will explore the famous white terraces of the ‘cotton castle’, discovering the origin of their peculiar coloration.

We will continue to Hierapolis, where you will have three hours of free time. During this period, you can visit the archaeological complex, return to the Pamukkale terraces, or enjoy a swim in Cleopatra’s Pool (entrance not included). The guide will be available to explain the history of Hierapolis if you wish.

Finally, we will gather to begin the return to your hotel in Antalya, arriving approximately seven hours after the initial pickup.
