Option 1: Excursion to Konya

After a journey of approximately three hours from Cappadocia, you will arrive at the holy city of Konya. The visit begins at the imposing Mevlana Museum, where you will explore the mausoleum of the Sufi mystic Celaleddin-i-Rumi and discover his legacy of over 800 years. Next, you will walk through the religious heart of Turkey, visiting the Aladdin Mosque with its impressive portico and Arabic decoration. The excursion culminates in the Butterfly Valley, a tropical garden inhabited by thousands of colorful insects, perfect for admiring the region’s climatic adaptation.

Option 2: Excursion to Ankara

If you prefer to visit the Turkish capital, you will embark on a three-hour journey to Ankara. The first stop will be at the Museum of Anatolian Civilizations, located in the Atpazari district, which houses key archaeological remains of Turkey. Then, you will head to Ankara Castle and the Anitkabir mausoleum, where you will learn about Mustafa Kemal, the country’s founder and first president. Admire the 10 symmetrical towers on the exterior and, inside, the ceilings decorated with bronze arrows and motifs inspired by Turkish carpets, along with engravings of quotes in Turkish that reveal the local history.
