Activity Description
This trekking route combines adventure and sport in a landscape of rock formations that seems straight out of a movie. The activity begins with pickup from your hotel and takes you to explore the stunning valleys of Cappadocia, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Detailed Itinerary
After hotel pickup, we will head to Uçhisar to begin the hike. First, we will enter the White Valley, known for the color of its rocks, where we will learn about the area’s geology and, if in season, may sample some local fruits. We will continue to the Love Valley, famous for its volcanic rock pillars up to 40 meters high. Along the way, we will visit a furnished cave to understand how the region’s ancient inhabitants lived.
We will take a break to recharge with a typical Turkish lunch at a café. Then, we will continue through the Red and Rose Valleys, notable for their reddish and orange-toned fairy chimneys. We will finish in the village of Çavuşin, where we will visit the 5th-century Church of St. John the Baptist, with a well-preserved fresco. The total route is 18 kilometers, concluding at the starting point after 8 hours and 30 minutes.
