Workshop Description
Immerse yourself in the tradition of Turkish coffee with this hands-on workshop in Cappadocia. The experience takes place at The Owl Cave, where you will discover the secrets of sand-brewing, using traditional tools such as the cezve (copper pot), the kumdanlik (sand pan), and the characteristic cups.
Detailed Program
After meeting at the designated point, you will settle in to begin the workshop. First, the sand in the kumdanlik is heated to the ideal temperature. Then, you will fill the cezve with cold water and add the coffee, passing it over the hot sand so it releases its unique aroma. You will learn to recognize the exact moment when the foam is uniform, and then serve the coffee into the cups using the proper technique. The experience culminates with tasting the coffee accompanied by a glass of water and traditional sweets, plus the option to try Turkish tea. The workshop has a total duration of 30 minutes.
